God's people.
Mission: Our mission is to offer the homeless and people living in poverty a fresh start by helping them transition from hardship to sustainable living. We promote services that offer an opportunity for a healthier life. The resources offered by our program will enhance an independent lifestyle for our clients while promoting community and self-worth.
Our services include providing men's and women's showers and locker rooms as well as washing and drying our clients' laundry
Fresh Start is a partnering agency of Harvest Hope Food Bank. As such, we provide emergency food to our clients each Thursday and the second and fourth Saturdays of each month.
In addition, a hot and wholesome dinner is provided on the 4th Saturday in partnership with St. Martin's-in-the-Fields Episcopal Church in Columbia
We provide a clothing closet that is stocked with community donations. Our clients can choose clothes for themselves and their
families.
Drop off donations in person on Wed. between 9-12.Leave your items with a volunteer. Do not leave them unattended.
Only non-perishable food items and Clean clothing are accepted as donations.
Financial assistance is available for rent and utilities for individuals facing hardships due to Covid 19, Loss of job, or reduction of wages. Clients may apply in person. Applications are taken on Thursdays between 10 am and 12 noon.
